Kartar Singh Sarabha
Our sports and cultural community club is dedicated to the inspirational life and struggle of Sardar Kartar Singh Sarabha.
Kartar Singh Sarabha (24 May,1896-16 November,1915) began his involvement in the Gadar Party in San Francisco in 1912. Sharaba was born in 1896. After this graduation from high school in 1911, he arrived at the University of California Berkeley to continue his studies in engineering. In Berkeley, he joined the Gadar party in 1913. Around this time, he also learned to fly. He returned to India in 1914 to fight for his country’s independence. On November 16th, 1915, Saraba was hanged at the tender age of 19.
